A Message from Eric and Jennifer
"Asking for Mountains"
Often in life we find ourselves asking the Lord for
things that to others may not make any sense like Caleb did. Lord, give me those
mountains where the Anakim live. This did not make sense as many asked for the
lush valleys and grassy plans. Caleb was at peace as he was confident in God’s
power.
After studying this passage and devotional over and
over we want to challenge you to go for what God has called you to and ask for
that mountain. You may find out that like Caleb the Lord will give it to you.
Please read “Asking for Mountains” by Blackaby and see what the Lord
reveals to you.

Pearls Of Wisdom - Focusing Your Life
"Motivating Your Team!"
-
by Bobb Biehl
Have you played on two kinds of teams? One was a highly
motivated team and one was a team whose morale was at an all-time low? Let me
explain the difference between the ways those teams develop - and how you, as
a leader, can motivate your team to have high morale. If your team has high morale,
you stand a far better chance of going to finals, reaching the goal, winning
the championship, or building the company than you do with a team that has morale
problems.

Leadership
"The 3x5 Card: A Wisdom
Tool for Your Children"
- by Bruce McNicol
I’m still thinking about Emily Cavanaugh!
The beautiful woman who told Billy Graham she had to
drop him for an older classmate who possessed more promise!
I love that story! (see last month). At that time in
Billy’s life, it was true. He lacked purpose and focus.
What do you imagine Billy’s parents were thinking
about Billy during these days? “Come on Billy, make something of yourself.
Life is short. Don’t waste your young years.”
Have you thought about this? You may have a Billy
Graham in the making. Simply, a young person who has yet to discover their purpose,
who is not maturing “on schedule”—on your schedule. They are “in
the making.” So, take a page from Billy’s life: “Grace gives
children a safe space to grow at their own pace.”

Prayer
"Top Ten Reasons for "Prayer
Fatigue"
- by Jennifer Kennedy Dean
1.
Thinking of prayer as one more thing on your already crowded “to do” list.
Prayer
is not an activity, but a relationship. You live continually in that prayer relationship.
It is not something you do, but something you live.
2. The feeling
that your job in prayer is to convince God or to move Him to do your will.
Prayer
is initiated by God. He moves in your heart, convincing you and moving you to
respond to Him and to open your life to His power and provision. Instead of feeling
that you have to work on Him, relax and let Him work in you.

The Internet can be a great place for kids to learn,

place. With more and more children accessing the Internet these days it's important
for parents to understand technology and set the stage for productive computer
time for their children.
There
are several things you can do to protect your children and your family from the
dangers of the Internet. This article contains several key suggestions.
